I have been coming to Accessible Fitness for a year. I feel that it is quite helpful for my illness which is M.S. I haven't been able to find a place to go that is as accessible as they are. I work out for an hour three times a week which I feel has been very beneficial for me. I know that it helps make my body stronger for transferring in and out of the wheelchair. The staff is great! I get both physical and emotional support. I have become very close to the staff.

Spinal cord injury, 2000
In my 3 years of having  a spinal cord injury I have never felt stronger. Finally I am able to sit up straight without assistance and transfer myself from the floor to a wheelchair safely. Now I am able to do everyday things such as transferring out of my car easier and better. Despite my C-6 spinal Cord injury Accessible Fitness has helped me to live a full and productive life. In 2002  with the help of Accessible Fitness I  am looking forward to kicking some butt on the bench press at the V.A. Summer Games. Thank you  Accessible Fitness!
In September 2004, I found Judy and Paul while reading a small article in the MS Newsletter.  I thought this sounds like something I could do and really benefit in the process.  When I started working with Judy, we set two very simple, basic goals - to increase my stamina and to work on balance.  I remember jokingly telling her that if I lost some weight in the process, that would be a pleasant added benefit.   Although MS had slowed me down, I was still fairly active, but was becoming more and more frustrated by my physical limitations.  I realized that I had reached a point where I really needed to do something to stay as active as I had been - I took the use it or lose it approach.  The last six month have been short of amazing.  Since I have always tried to stay active, Judy was able to take me further, faster then we first thought.  I have regained much of my lost flexibility, can stay on the go much longer and the best part is I have actually lost about 3 dress sizes in the last six months.  Not bad for a 63 year old grandmother.  I can almost keep up with my teenage granddaughters when we have a day at the Mall.

Jim Murphy
Cerebral Palsy from birth

I have had Cerebral Palsy ever since birth. I love to exercise but it's been a challenge
finding a trainer that can relate to my needs.
Ever since I met Paul and Judy through the Cerebral Palsy organization, I enjoy working out even more and I can feel the results. I'm looking forward to my workouts because I know I will get much stronger as time goes on with each session.
They both see my ability not my disability.
If you have the desire you can climb any mountain you want!
Thanks again Paul and Judy".
