Enhancing Your Abilities

Welcome to the Accessible Fitness web site. Accessible Fitness is a completely wheelchair accessible gym, specializing in adaptive fitness.

My name is Paul O' Lone. All of my life I have loved exercise. In 1993 I became  the Mr. North  America bodybuilding champion.

In 1997 I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After returning to the gym to rehabilitate my leg strength and balance, I realized there was a great need for accessible gyms.

In 2002 my wife Judy and I opened an accessible fitness center that focused on exercise programs for all types of  physical challenges.

Today, Judy and I are consultants for people at all levels of ability. We have developed exercise programs for people who have multiple sclerosis, many other neurological conditions or physical limitations.

We stress exercise as a way of life for everyone by focusing on ability and not disability.

I have regained much of my lost flexibility, can stay on the go much longer and the best part is I have actually lost about 3 dress sizes in the last six months. Not bad for a 63 year old grandmother

I have been training with  Accessible Fitness for a year. I feel that it is quite helpful for my illness which is MS. I haven't been able to find a place to go that is as accessible as they are. I work out for an hour three times a week which I feel has been very beneficial for me.  I get both physical and emotional support. I have become very close to everyone there.
